“Fate, destiny...?! As an Italian citizen, I have, of course, grown up with the color Red when it comes to cars... But isn’t it the dream of every child to, one day, own their own Red car? And why not actually create one but in a new and modern fashion? Given that this model’s name features my very own date of birth, I have always felt a special connection to it. I am sure you will agree that Red in general still evokes – and will probably always evoke – the highest level of design language and so many positive emotions in our heads and hearts.
To me, our project is therefore the ultimate tribute to the Red world, all the people who are behind it as well as its fans and collectors but also all car enthusiasts of this world. It is also the realization of a childhood dream.”

It’s all about dates of birth and favorite models. The special edition of the Red from the year 1975 was launched in 1984. It is THE icon of the 80ies and was built 272 times. For many passionate car lovers, this is the most beautiful creation of the 80ies.
Was 273 chosen by chance?
Of course not! Like probably all things built with passion, it is based on a lot of memories and beautiful emotions: important friendships and personal stories have played a role in choosing this number.
Potenza is a town in the Italian region of Basilicata which is the place of origin of our CEO Donato Donofrio who is a passionate fan of the Red and the Tricolore. Despite living in Switzerland, he is well-known for his exquisite Italianità inherited from his homeland.
Also, in Italian, POTENZA means POWER.

Feel the excitement when driving this icon and remember the freedom of these years and moments, this is a modern reimagination that was not held back by value preservation or mileage.
This might have been the last possibility for a modern reinvention of the good old times. And just like back then, it comes with a Biturbo V8 engine, but a lot more powerful, of course. We have used this opportunity to pay tribute to and celebrate our long-standing experience in the automobile industry and our admiration for the Red original which will forever be unattainable.
